Another day and I have to keep myself motivated to do not stop my own purpose of loosing weight, so a simple Fish cake is the recipe for today. DELICIOSOS BOLINHOS DE BACALHAU E MERLUZA!!!

Fish cake by katyarichkitchen

serves 2-3

Ingredients

  • 300 g cod-fish filets, skinless
  • 200 g hake fish filets, skinless
  • 1 green onion, (also using the green top), finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove crushed
  • 1 green chilli, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp of Indonesian sauce, (like KETJAP MANIS sauce)
  • juice of 1/2 lime
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • fresh ground black pepper
  • lemon edge to garnish

Method

Preheat oven to 200 ˚C, 400˚ F

  1. Shred the fish filets by using your fingers or use a food processor and dry all the excess of water with kitchen paper.
  2. In in a mixing bowl, place the fish, garlic, green chilli, green onion, juice of 1/2 lime Worcestershire sauce, Indonesian sauce, 1 tsp of olive oil, salt and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Shape with your hands the mixture into around cakes, brush them with olive oil and place them into a non-stick baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly golden.
  5. Serve with lemon edge and green salad.

Deliciosos bolinhos de bacalhau e merluza

Ingredientes para 2-3 pessoas

  • 300 g de files de bacalhau no seu ponto de sal, sem a pele
  • 200 g de files de merluza, sem a pele
  • 1 cebola branca pequena, bem picada
  • 2 colheres de salsinha, bem picada
  • 1 dente de alho amassado
  • 1 colher (café) de molho Inglês (Lea & Perrins)
  • 2 colheres  (café) molho de soja doce, ( tipo MANIS de KETJAP) 
  • suco de meio limão tahiti
  • azeite de oliva
  • sal e pimenta negra moída
  • limão para servir

Modo de preparo

  1. Desfiar (retalhar) o peixe com as mãos e secar todo o excesso de água.
  2. Em uma vasilha colocar todos os ingredientes, o peixe, a cebola, a salsinha, o alho, o molho Inglês, o molho de soja doce, o limão, i colher de café de azeite de oliva, sal e pimenta a gosto.
  3. Untar uma assadeira com azeite de oliva.
  4. Formar bolinhas de peixe com a mão e assar em forno pré -aquecido a 200˚C.
  5. Servir com limão e salada da sua preferência.

  1. Thanks Bam, but after Christmas in England, lot of food and delicious desserts made by Jill my mother-in-low and Switzerland Fondue and chocolates…..I don’t now much about (ounces), but 4 kilos I’ve gain around my waist, I’m glad you are enjoying my simple recipes….
